Amanda is a Practice Leader in the Workplace Relations team at Moores.

Amanda specialises in industrial and employee relations with over 20 years’ experience in the area. She is passionate about advising and partnering with clients to achieve pragmatic outcomes. Her practice area ranges from enterprise bargaining, compliance risk management, complex award and enterprise agreement matters, disciplinary and termination processes, industrial action and employment litigation.

Amanda has gained experience in a leading national workplace relations practice as well as through in-house employee counsel roles in an ASX listed top 100 company with over 25,000 employees and a national health organisation with 3,500 employees.

Key matters Amanda has been involved in include advising on enterprise bargaining for a large university, managing complex disciplinary processes for a major hospital, advising on employment and transfer of business issues associate with the purchase and sale of businesses, leading large and complex award and enterprise agreement compliance projects, representing clients with the Australia workplace regulator,  responding to industrial action, appearing in the Fair Work Commission for clients and managing unfair dismissal and general protections proceedings.

Amanda works closely with her clients and partners with them. She believes in getting a really good understanding about her client’s business or operation, understand their goals and priorities, and work to achieve their objectives regardless of the nature of the issue. Amanda balances commercial pragmatism with empathy.

Amanda loves being active as a way to balance (or at least try to balance!)  an otherwise busy schedule with two kids in primary school. She loves her weekly dance fitness class (or three) and even gym training.
