Skye Rose awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for Service to the Law

We are so proud of our wonderful colleague Skye Rose, who has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for Service to the Law.

Drawing on her commitment to social justice, Skye uses her technical expertise as a workplace relations, discrimination and child safety lawyer to effect positive social change and create a more inclusive, safe and equitable world.

Skye is a Practice Leader in the Corporate Advisory Team at Moores and heads our Discrimination and Safeguarding team helping organisations to create safe environments for vulnerable people such as children, women, people with disability and the elderly.

Skye is a widely respected change agent in the Victorian legal industry and more broadly within the social justice community. Testament to this is Skye’s worthy recognition as the Law Institute of Victoria’s Government Lawyer of the Year award in 2015 and her 2019 nomination for the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Women of Influence for her contribution to social enterprise, Not For Profit and local and regional advocacy. Skye has also been awarded the Lexology Influencer of the Year Award for leading author in Employment Australasia – evidence of the recognition as a thought leader and expert by her peers and professional associations.

In addition to her work at Moores, Skye has worked tirelessly to use her legal expertise as a tool to prevent sexual harm and promote and protect equality. She has two decades of experience as a lawyer in the private, public, community and not-for-profit sectors, where she has dedicated herself to helping others.

A huge congratulations Skye from the entire Moores community.
