Kate Drummond is a Senior Lawyer and member of the Property & Construction Team at Moores

Kate works closely with a wide range of clients - from private individuals to not-for-profit and government entities - on property issues across the board, with a particular focus on leasing and property tax matters.

Kate's expertise includes advising upon the availability of duties, land tax and council rates exemptions and successfully obtaining exemptions for numerous not-for-profit clients and private individuals.

She also has extensive experience with commercial leasing documentation for the retail, industrial and office sectors - from initial negotiations through to end of lease issues, including complex agreement for lease arrangements and portfolio management for clients with widespread interstate leasehold interests.

When she’s not immersed in the leasing or property tax spaces, Kate can be found working with clients on all manner of other property related matters, including technical advice on property issues such as easements and covenants, conducting due diligence on both commercial and residential properties and advising on numerous other commercial arrangements in the real estate space.

Why Moores?

"I get to do the work I love while making a genuine difference to people – it’s the perfect combination!"

Also…

Kate avoided tax law throughout her university degree – ironic given that complex duties advice is now one of the areas she’s best known for!
